A new statewide radio ad is running promoting Republican Charlie Crist and it's paid for by the new Democrat-backed group, the Coalition for Bipartisan Progress.

That's the group formed recently by Rod Smith's former political director, Todd Wilder; Smith's ex-legislative aide, Mike Murtha; and campaign consultant James Harris.

The 30-second spot notes Crist's support for civil rights legislation, the class size amendment and importation of prescription drugs from Canada. The ad calls Crist the solution to "political gridlock in Tallahassee" (with one party holding all the levers of power?) Here the ad here.
