In new TV ad, Rudy touts cat fund
Rudy Giuliani is launching a new TV ad timed to coincide with a news conference today in Pensacola to discuss support for a national catastrophe fund for insurance. He's made the strongest recent push for federal fund, although other candidates have said they were open to it or would prefer a regional effort.
The campaign also is deploying its surrogates in Florida as the rest of the field focuses on South Carolina. Steve Forbes, U.S. Sens. Kit Bond and Norm Coleman and former FBI director Louis Freeh are hitting the road in Florida. So will actor Jon Voight.
