Newt Gingrich on program for RNC's final night
Former Speaker of House Newt Gingrich and his wife Callista will appear at Thursday night's final session of the Republican National Convention to make remarks about former President Ronald Reagan in connection with a short film about Reagan's legacy that will be shown to delegates, convention organizers said Thursday morning.
During the convention, Gingrich has been leading "Newt University," a series of public policy workshops for delegates, journalists and party activists. Gingrich, a onetime Republican candidate for president, has led a rotating crop of ad hoc professors holding court on themes ranging from "We Can Do Better" to "We Believe in America" at local hotels.
