The next Ross Perot?
U.S. Sen. John McCain appeared at a private fundraiser at the Tampa Club on Wednesday. Guests at a small reception prior to the event included Tampa Police Chief Steve Hogue and Hillsborough Property Appraiser Rob Turner.
Asked what he thought of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's decision to switch his party status from Republican to unaffiliated, McCain said, "I would imagine he changed his registration for a reason. He wouldn't be the first mayor in the race.''
