Obama's pal Crist featured on NPR
Just what Republican Gov. Charlie Crist needs ... a feature piece on NPR that observes that he gave Barack Obama "a hug and embraced his policies" last week in Fort Myers.
The spot, which you can listen to here, calls attention to his support of the federal stimulus package. "Florida is expected to receive some $12 billion in federal aid from the stimulus package. But Crist's support for it has earned him the scorn of some Republicans."
When it's noted that some other leading Republican governors are criticizing the package, George LeMieux says: "Well, I think that's easy rhetoric to say, 'Well, we don't like this and we don't want to take this money.' Call me back if one of those governors doesn't take it."
