Obama's state HQ opening

The Barack Obama campaign is hosting a grand opening of its state headquarters Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. It's at 1771 E. Ninth Ave. in Ybor City, across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn. The space, formerly occupied by an architectural firm, is owned by Alan Kahana, who owns multiple properties in Ybor City and most recently made local news by making a failed bid to buy the troubled Centro Ybor entertainment complex. The offices were formerly occupied by an architectural firm. "I'm a huge Obama supporter," Kahana said. "We need a change. We have had the worst regime ever."

Meanwhile, the RPOF sent an e-mail to the Buzz calling Obama's Florida campaign "smoke and mirrors," noting that the Florida GOP already has 20 "victory" offices open with plans to bring the total to at least 35.
