Orlando Hob Nob draws crowd
Hundreds of people attended the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Hob Nob Thursday night at a park located in the neighborhood of both U.S. Sens. Mel Martinez and Bill Nelson. Both senators were there, joking about who had the bigger house.
Among the others who braved the heat (and a little rain) were lieutenant governor candidates Jeff Kottkamp and Daryl Jones, chief financial officer candidates Tom Lee and Alex Sink and Orlando area U.S. Reps. Ric Keller and Tom Feeney. No sign of their colleague, Senate candidate Katherine Harris.
Neither gubernatorial candidate made an appearance but we managed to learn a thing or two about their campaigns: Martinez spent part of the day taping a new ad for Republican Charlie Crist. Nelson plans to campaign with Democrat Jim Davis next week in Tampa.
