Pinellas scraps campaign ethics plan, Welch announces re-election
County Commissioner Karen Seel had wanted to drain some of the venom from political campaigning, but Tuesday night her fellow board members said her proposed ordinance lacked teeth.
After it became clear her measure had no chance of passing, the commission tabled the issue. Undaunted, Seel said she would try to organize a citizens' group capable of policing the campaign antics of politicians running for office in Pinellas. More here.
