Poll: Crist 38, Rubio 34, Meek 17

The latest Rasmussen Reports robo poll (4.5% MoE): The Florida Senate race appears to be a whole new ballgame with Republican Governor Charlie Crist’s decision to run as an independent.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Florida Voters finds Crist earning 38% support to Republican Marco Rubio’s 34% and Democrat Kendrick Meek’s 17%. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided. ...

...The majority (57%) of conservative voters in the state support Rubio, while the majority of liberals (56%) and moderates (55%) like Crist.

Just 31% of all voters in the state think Republicans and Democrats are so much alike that a new political party is needed. Fifty-five percent (55%) disagree. Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters in the state currently approve of how Crist is handling the role of governor, up six points from early April, while 38% disapprove.

Crist is viewed very favorably by 25% of Florida voters and very unfavorably by 16%.
Eighteen percent (18%) have a very favorable opinion of Rubio, while 22% view him very unfavorably.  For Meek, very favorables are 10% and very unfavorables 17%. He is by far the least well-known candidate in the race.
