Poll: Gingrich and Romney neck and neck in Fla
A new automated poll by the Republican consulting firm Sunshine State Communications (Buzz Jacobs and Douglas Brown) shows a dead heat between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. It was conducted May 11-13 (MoE +/- 3.73%) before Mike Huckabee took his name out of the mix. Undecided or Other was in the lead with nearly one in three votes. The results:
Mitt Romney 16 percent, Newt Gingrich 15 percent; Mike Huckabee 11 percent; Chris Christie 9 percent; Sarah Palin 8 percent; Michele Bachmann 3 percent; Mitch Daniels 3 percent; Tim Pawlenty 2 percent; Jon Huntsman 1 percent; undecided/other 32 percent.
“The Republican presidential race in Florida is wide open,” Jacobs, who was John McCain's southeast regional campaign manager. “With Huckabee out of the race, approximately 43% of likely Republican Primary voters are up for grabs.”
