President Barack Obama is in Florida this morning ahead of a planned grassroots rally in Fort Myers. White House officials say he will address the shootings in Aurora, Colo., during that event.

But the final event of Obama's two-day campaign swing through Florida -- scheduled for this afternoon in Winter Park -- has been canceled. Instead, the president will return to the White House to monitor the news.
