Pruitt, Crist on boot camp report
Senate President Ken Pruitt offered a measured response to the report calling for a smaller settlement in the death of Martin Lee Anderson. But Gov. Charlie Crist said he's not backing down from $5-million.
"The report issued today represents a judicious evaluation of the facts before the Special Masters," Pruitt said in a statement.
Crist, meanwhile, writes Pruitt and House Speaker Marco Rubio that he doesn't support any less: "I remain steadfast in my desire to properly compensate this family for their loss. To that end, I remain committed in support of the payment of five million dollars from the legislature."
