Rachel Burgin has a primary opponent
South Hillsborough dentist Marc Johnson, a political newcomer, has filed to run against State Rep. Rachel Burgin in the Republican primary in 2010. Johnson said he chose to seek the District 56 seat because he didn't like the way the Republican party establishment selected Burgin to run for the post in 2008, when Trey Traviesa dropped his bid for re-election at the last minute, meaning there would be no primary election.
