Raising Money for Randy Johnson

An invitation to a Monday night fundraiser for Rep. Randy Johnson's campaign for chief financial officer carries a flock of familiar names from the Tallahassee lobbying corps. A sampling of names and clients: Bill Hebrock (Florida Chiropractic Society), Jeff Sharkey (affordable housing providers), former Lt. Gov. Bobby Brantley (city of Oldsmar), Cynthia Henderson (Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority), Wade Hopping (developers, sugar), David Rancourt (Southern Strategies), Don Yaeger (Dell, Flo-Sun, KPMG) and Mike Raynor (BellSouth).
Johnson has raised $707,000 and spent $94,000 through June 30. GOP rival Tom Lee, the Senate president, has raised $1.6-million and spent $220,000. A third Republican, Milt Bauguess, has raised $555 and loaned his campaign about $16,000.
