Ratings change in CD 13, 16
Is free-spending Vern Buchanan going to wake up Nov. 8 with a Doug Gallagher-like hangover (remember Gallagher's $6-mil that accomplished little)? The respected non-partisan Cook Political Report has changed its assessment of Katherine Harris' once strongly Republican Congressional District 13 from "Toss up" to "leans Democratic."
Better news for Republicans in Mark Foley's CD 16, which Cook moved from "Leans Democratic" to "Toss up."
