The Florida Association of Realtors is forming a political committee to promote the Amendment 5 tax swap. "Give Me Five for Florida's Future," will be unveiled at a news conference in Tallahassee tomorrow.

Joining the Realtors will be Reps. Frank Attkisson, R-Kissimmee, and Darryl Rouson, D-St. Petersburg.

The group will operate separately but in the same spirit as a group led by former Sen. John McKay, who championed the idea to eliminate most school property taxes for a higher sales tax and other revenue. Amendment 5 will appear on the November ballot. The Realtors have pledged at least $1-million.
