Rep. Allen West joins Congressional Black Caucus
Rep. Allen West, the tea party favorite from South Florida who unseated incumbent Ron Klein, has joined the Congressional Black Caucus, the first Republican to do so since the early 1990s.
Rep. Tim Scott, the other African-American lawmaker elected in November, did not join the caucus. West has said he'd like to bring a different perspective to the group.
