He swore he'd never be like his parents, the heads of a household teeming with nine children.

But state Rep. Will Weatherford is quickly catching up. This week, Weatherford, R-Wesley Chapel and House speaker designate for next year, announced he and his wife, Courtney, are expecting their third child.

"As a father of two children – and a third on the way – to have a beautiful, full-service hospital like this within a few miles of my home is very nice for my family," he said during a hard hat tour Tuesday of the new Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, which is set to open this fall, perhaps in time for the late-October due date.

"It's another election baby," he said, referring to their second child, Molly Marie, who was born shortly after the 2010 race.
