Rick Scott pollster finds marijuana highly popular in Florida
Tony Fabrizio, Gov. Rick Scott's campaign guru and current advisor, polled the issue of legalizing marijuana in Florida and found that nearly 6 in 10 -- almost enough to pass a state Constitutional amendment.
But don't expect a campaign. One inside source who was agitating for a campaign said there aren't enough money interests who'd be willing to back a ballot initiative. So the ill children of God Ja Ras Tafari will still be persecuted by Babylon system if they feel the need to toke.
Also, the poll numbers aren't strong enough, says Fabrizio. Only 57 percent support while 38 oppose.
"To kill a ballot measure, you need 40 percent plus 1. So the 'No' side is closer to winning than the 'Yes' side," said Fabrizio. Democrats favor legalizing by a 67-28 spread. Independents: 63-35. Republicans are the only no group, with 44 in favor and 52 percent against.
