Rick Scott raises $1 million for inauguration
Gov.-elect Rick Scott now has $1.1 million for his inauguration, according to fund-raising records released tonight.
Scott hasn't said how much he'll spend on his celebration.
The first $800,000 came from a host of special interests and Republican Party donors. The next $300,000 is from much of the same. Here is where some of the latest maximum $25,000 contributions came from:
• TECO Energy
• Universal City Development Partners: The owner/operator of theme parks like Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure.
• Principal Investment Company: Global financial company offering retirement plans, life and health insurance and investment and banking products.
• Houghton Mifflin Harcourt textbook publisher
