CQ has been taking a look at the race to unseat U.S. Rep. Ric Keller in Congressional District 8. Keller weighs in
here, dismissing the field of Democrats: "We do have some Democrats running, but I don’t have any well-funded elected officials running against me like the type of quality candidate that I beat in 2000. Linda Chapin was the undefeated county mayor and raised $1.7 million, and I beat her in a district that performed less Republican than the district that I have now."
