Romney Florida ad: President focused on 'Obamacare' not jobs
Mitt Romney is greeting President Obama to Florida with this TV ad that blames him for the poor state economy. "Barack Obama: what a disappointment,” the ad concludes.
The downbeat message is another reminder of the mixed messages Florida voters are getting. Gov. Rick Scott has been for months touting job growth and other signs of improvement.
Obama response below:
Obama Florida spokesman Eric Jotkoff: "Mitt Romney’s new Florida ad denies reality – Florida’s own Governor has touted the state’s economic growth, demonstrating the bipartisan consensus that Florida is headed in the right direction. But as Romney’s proven, he’ll say anything to get elected. What’s worse is that he’d bring back the same budget-busting policies that got us into the economic mess in the first place. What Romney should be explaining is why he would raise taxes an average of $2,000 for middle-class families with children to cut taxes for millionaires and billionaires like himself. While the President understands there’s more work to do, Florida is moving forward and Romney would take Floridians back to the failed policies of the past."
