Round 1 - Davis and Smith debate
The Florida Democratic Party today announced final plans for its Jefferson-Jackson weekend in Fort Lauderdale. Taking center stage is an hourlong televised debate between Jim Davis and Rod Smith.
It begins at 7 p.m. Saturday and will be shown live on Bay News 9 and Central Florida News 13. Troy Kinsey will moderate.
Smith supporters have been eagerly awaiting this day, saying it will show him as the superior candidate. But Davis' camp says he will be ready and offers more substance to Rod's flash.
