RPOF goes for the youth vote
The Republican Party of Florida, perhaps seeing the success of the Obama campaign, is holding its first youth conference on Aug. 22 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando.
"The 'Drive the Discussion Exchange ’09' Youth Conference will be devoted to young people between the ages of 16 and 30 with panel discussions, an exchange of ideas and exciting speakers along with a voter registration drive," reads an invite from chairman Jim Greer.
From the invite: The weekend will also include the Statesman’s Dinner, which is the premier event bringing grass-roots activists, donors, elected officials and candidates together in support of the Republican Party.
In addition to the Youth Conference and Statesman’s Dinner, a reception will be held on Friday evening, August 21, 2009, honoring all Republican candidates. The Quarterly RPOF Board Meeting will also be held during the weekend.
With the elections in 2010, there is much at stake and our party must be unified and energized. As such, the Republican Party of Florida looks forward to this weekend being one of the first steps to victory on election night.
