Rubio foray into endorsement politics yields mixed results
One of the first signals Sen. Marco Rubio intended to push beyond Florida was his creation of Reclaim America PAC. The PAC was created support "candidates just like him all across the country that will go to Washington to make a real difference for America’s future." Now that the election is over, how'd Rubio do?
The PAC formally endorsed five candidates. Two candidates won, three lost.
Winners were Deb Fischer in Nebraska and Dean Heller in Nevada.
Losers were Josh Mandel in Ohio, Scott Brown in Massachusetts and Richard Mourdock in Indiana. (Rubio endorsed Mourdock before his rape comments and joined in criticism of the remarks.)
Rubio campaigned in Florida for Connie Mack but never formally endorsed him.
