Rubio: I don't want to see Arizona immigration law in Florida, not 'national model'
Sen. Marco Rubio said he understands why Arizona passed its tough immigration law but does not want to see it in Florida or as a national model. His comments, to David Gregory of Meet The Press, came as a Supreme Court decision on the law is imminent.
The Obama campaign sent out a news release calling attention to Rubio's position (which is not new) and said it clashed with Mitt Romney, who has expressed support for the Arizona law, though his comments about it being a model were contained to E-verify. Politifact has rated Democrats' claims on that as "false."
