Rubio's big media week includes feature spot on 'Nightline'
U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will appear Tuesday on Nightline, providing a national audience with a "behind-the-scenes" look at his early weeks in the Senate and confirming a willingness to re-enter the spotlight. In this clip, the interviewer asks again and again about a run for president. Finally Rubio declares, “I’m not running for president in 2012.”
An ABC News crew shadowed Rubio on March 16 as he met with high school students from Miami, attended meetings in the Dirksen cafeteria because his temporary basement office is too small and rode the subway after voting (where the Buzz spotted him with a news crew).
But that's only part of a busy national media week. Rubio is also set to appear tomorrow on Sean Hannity's FOX News show and Wednesday on Good Morning America. It's likely he'll appear as a guest on a Sunday talk show. Rubio will likely to focus on concern over the national debt and the budget stalemate in Washington, and his opposition to another short-term extension.
