Republicans in Florida and presumably beyond are getting a fundraising appeal from U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio that uses some tough rhetoric and casts him as a martyr.

"I'm going to take a ton of heat for my bold stance," Rubio says. "Barack Obama will stop at nothing to demonize and destroy anyone who dares stand in the way of his far-left, spending addicted agenda."

Rubio informs the donors that he's looking for a "very few committed patriots" to join a leadership committee to help him fight the fight in Washington. "You will become one of my most trusted and reliable supporters," Rubio writes in asking for at least $1,000. Donors at that level get a Rubio coffee mug.
