Sandy Adams brings personal story to fight over Violence Against Women Act
CNN has an overview on the fight over re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act and the role Rep. Sandy Adams is playing. Adams, a former state rep from the Orlando area, was once married to an abusive husband. Politico took a deeper look at some of underlining tension with Adams' bill as the GOP "scrambles to assuage women's groups." The White House this evening issued a veto threat, calling Adams' version a "dangerous" rollback.
