Sandy and the Senate President
Among the 10 or so people suing the Legislature so that the state Board of Governors, rather than the Legislature, can set tuition at Florida's 11 public universities is former Florida State University president Talbot "Sandy" D'Alemberte.
The lawsuit has drawn the ire of Sen. President Ken Pruitt, who said: "I don't think voters were trying to turn the Board of Governors into
the fourth branch of Government."
D'Alemberte was one of Pruitt's picks to the Florida Taxation and Budget Reform Commission.
