Sansom, Odom, Richburg to face trial together
Ray Sansom, Jay Odom and Bob Richburg will go to trial together in March after a judge ruled in favor of a state motion to consolidate the cases.
The men face grand theft charges for their role in securing $6 million in state money for a building at Destin Airport that prosecutors say was going to serve as a hangar for Odom's private jet business. State Attorney Willie Meggs petitioned the court to consolidate the cases, and a judge has now granted that motion.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin March 21, when Sansom is on spring break from his new job as an administrator at an Okaloosa County charter school.
