Saunders endorses McCollum
State Sen. Burt Saunders, R-Naples, who last month dropped out of the race for attorney general, today said he would back former U.S. Rep. Bill McCollum, R-Longwood.
From the McCollum campaign:
“I am proud to support and endorse Bill McCollum as Florida’s next Attorney General. He will lead the fight to protect Florida’s children.” Saunders added “He will ensure that we have the toughest laws and toughest enforcement in the nation when it comes to going after child predators.”
Added McCollum: “Burt Saunders has been an asset to our state and an outstanding public servant. I look forward to working with him on issues facing Southwest Florida and the rest of our state."
