Scott reappoints Crist pick to South Florida water district board

Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday reappointed Anne "Sandy" Batchelor-Robjohns, 59, of Miami Beach, to the South Florida Water Management District. She had previously been appointed by former Gov. Charlie Crist to the post in 2010.

Batchelor-Robjohns has been chairman and co-CEO of The Batchelor Foundation Inc. since 2007 and previously served as an officer and director of the organization since its inception in 1990. She was also an officer and member of the board of directors of Aerospace Finance L.T.D. from 1999 to 2005. She has been the personal representative of the George E. Batchelor estate since 2002. Her community involvement includes serving on boards for Audubon of Florida, the University of Miami Rosenstiel School Marine and Atmospheric Science and the Florida International University Medical School.

Batchelor-Robjohns received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, a master’s degree rom the University of Florida, a law degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law and a Master of Laws from the University of Miami. She is reappointed for a term beginning August 21, 2012, and ending March 1, 2016.

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
