Senate TV ads: Crist targeting Miami, Rubio I-4, Meek everywhere



The Nielsen Company is helpfully putting together a weekly analysis of media exposure in Florida's U.S. Senate race, starting with the week of Sept. 6. It looks at the five biggest TV markets:

...The television ad war is in full effect, as all three candidates have aired hundreds of ads in the past week across the state’s five largest markets. While Republican Marco Rubio trails slightly in overall ads run, he outpaces both opponents in the Orlando and Tampa-St Petersburg markets. Meanwhile, Governor Charlie Crist has largely targeted Miami voters, with over 40% of his ads being run in that market. Democrat Meek is spreading his ad spend around, with no one market representing more than 22% of his paid media presence this week. ...
