Shakin' it loose
Gov.-elect Charlie Crist's inaugural celebration started early -- and loud -- with a prayer breakfast this morning at Florida A&M University.
More than 1,000 people filed into FAMU's basketball gymnasium for the event, which became a hand-clapping, toe-tapping party thanks to the inspired singing of Vickie Winans. As she finished a rousing rendition of "Shake Yourself Loose," Crist rose from his seat, put an arm around Winans and briefly danced with Winans on the stage.
Behind them, a large blue banner features the inscription, "Celebrating the people of Florida."
Crist will take the oath of office at noon as Florida's 44th governor.
