Smith on Hannity

28

June

From the Rod Smith campaign: "State Senator Rod Smith, Democratic candidate for Governor, will appear on Fox News’ Hannity and Colmes show tonight; the show airs from 9:00 to 10:00PM. They will discuss a challenging and high profile case that Rod Smith handled as State Attorney. The subject of a story in Sunday’s St. Petersburg Times, this case is a great example of how Rod Smith consistently puts aside politics to make tough decisions."

Given his experience with the strikingly similar Delta Chi rape case at UF, we asked Smith last week what he thought of the Mike Nifong's handling of the lacrosse team case. Smith stressed that he didn't know all the facts of that case, but: "That prosecutor made one mistake that I tried not to make. ... it's very dangerous for a prosecutor to talk early on about that case...What happens if there's evidence that seems inconsistent with what you've previously said?''
