Might this make a difference?: Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis' first TV spot is supposed to air Tuesday, but for 10 days Democrats have had a chance to see TV spots for Rod Smith, and Democrats requesting absentee ballots have received at least four mailings and party-funded robo-calls touting Smith (might some people hear the disclaimer and assume Smith's the party preference, we wonder). We haven't heard of much Davis absentee ballot activity yet, but we wonder if that new Miami Herald poll putting Smith just 5 point away from Davis, points to something interesting brewing in the Democratic primary.
