Students protest verdict at Capitol
About 200 college students have gathered outside to protest the boot camp jury verdict. They are singing and shouting,"This is what democracy looks like."
UPDATE 6:45 p.m.: Students moved down Monroe Street to Tennessee and sat in the road, shutting down traffic in one of the city's busiest intersections for more than an hour. Through the urging of police, Tallahassee's African-American Mayor John Marks and others, the students agreed to leave. But if a federal civil rights investigation into the death is not swift, demonstrators promised to return to the intersection. AP Photo.
