Tampa lawyer named to ethics post
Cheryl Forchilli, 32, a Tampa lawyer and political consultant, is the newest member of the Florida Commission on Ethics. Gov. Charlie Crist on Monday named Forchilli to a four-year term on the panel, which investigates complaints about the ethical conduct of state and local officials.
Forchilli, a former legislative aide and former member of the Jones Day law firm in Washington, is a Democrat. She succeeds Kurt Jones of Pensacola on the nine-member panel. By law, the ethics commission must have representation from both parties.
