Republican Party offices in Pinellas County are being inundated with requests for tickets to Sarah Palin's appearance Monday morning at Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater.

The gates will open at 6 a.m. for the rally at the park, 301 Drew St., and Palin will speak at 9 a.m., said Pinellas GOP chairman Tony DiMatteo.

Tickets are available at GOP offices throughout the Tampa Bay area. In Pinellas County, they're available at the following locations:

â?¢ The party's main Pinellas headquarters at 4707 140th Ave. N, Suite 208, near St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. The phone number there is 539-6009. Pickup until 7

â?¢ The party's St. Petersburg office at 6665 54th Ave. N, phone number 657-0170.

â?¢ Its Palm Harbor office at 3 Cypress Drive, phone number 656-6763.

Tickets are free, and you don't have to be a Republican to get one, officials said.

Tickets also are available at GOP headquarters in Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough and Manatee counties, DiMatteo said. He expects tickets to be available Friday and Saturday as well, although demand is heavy today.

The city of Clearwater will hold a meeting this afternoon to plan logistics. Officials are planning to set up remote parking lots with shuttle service to Coachman Park, said city spokeswoman Joelle Castelli.

Palin is making a two-day swing through Florida next week. After Clearwater, she heads to Fort Myers. On Tuesday, she'll make stops in Jacksonville and Pensacola. For more information on tickets to her other events, go to the RPOF Web site.
