TK Wetherell, Tom Arnold join Southern Strategy
Southern Strategy Group, a powerhouse lobbying firm in Tallahassee, is adding to it’s stable of lobbyists once again. For former Florida State University President and House Speaker T.K. Wetherell it’s a sort of homecoming. Wetherell briefly took his lobbying prowness to the firm after leaving the House in 1992 but resigned to become president of his favorite university.
He “retired’’ from FSU earlier this year but will now lend his influence and counsel to Southern Strategy, a firm with strong GOP contacts. From his far western vacation home in Montana, Wetherell said Tuesday that he will “attempt to help them understand the Democratic point of view.’’
The other new addition is Tom Arnold, former director and longtime official at the Agency for Health Care Administration. After more than 30 years of experience in handling Florida’s health care laws, Arnold retired August 31.
They join Southern Strategy President Paul Bradshaw and lobbyists David Rancourt, Chris Dudley, Electra Bustle, Towsen Fraser, Steve Madden, Matthew Montgomery, R. Paul Mitchell and Stacey Webb.
