Tom Lee's Bucks

Senate president and CFO candidate Tom Lee raised more than $1-million for his Floridians Uniting for a Stronger Tomorrow committee, with an eye toward protecting incumbent Republican senators. He's promised not to use any for his CFO race, and  Sen. Nancy Argenziano Dunnellon wants Lee to use that money to help incumbent Sens. Jim King and Alex Villalobos fend off primary challenges. Full story here.

"Please keep your promise to send the money to the incumbents, for the best reason of all: It is the right thing to do," Argenziano wrote to Lee. She also asked Lee not to give the money to incoming Senate President Ken Pruitt, who has yet to support Villalobos. Lee says he won't get involved in the primary and hasn't decided what to do with the money: "These funds were not raised to referee an inter-caucus squabble.''

In King's primary, rival Randall Terry is soliciting money to air TV ads tagging King as a strip club regular.
