Tough break for Wasserman Schultz
U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz hobbled into the House chamber moments ago on crutches. The Weston Democrat broke her fibula during the first-annual Congressional Women's Softball Game last evening.
The injury, which includes a sprained ankle, came as she was sliding into second base. "She is doing well and is in good spirits, given the overwhelming success of the game, which was organized to raise money for the Young Survivors Coalition," said spokesman Jonathan Beeton. "The congresswoman would like to stress that she was safe at 2nd."
