TV ad in Florida attacks Obama on energy spending
Americans for Prosperity, the Koch Bros.-backed group that had a big influence in the 2010 elections, announced today a $6 million ad campaign in Florida and other key states (CO, IA, MI, NV, NM, OH, VA) that focuses on energy spending.
“This ad is not a one-time event – it’s one piece of a comprehensive public education and grassroots advocacy effort,” said AFP President Tim Phillips. “Politicians who oppose fiscal accountability, job creation, and commonsense energy solutions should take notice, because taxpayers certainly will."
The New York Times notes that the $1.2 million the ad says went for a solar plant in Mexico, was actually for California.
