Is a TV set next stop for Connie Mack and Mary Bono Mack?
Reps. Connie Mack and Mary Bono Mack are hard to miss these days. Not in the Capitol, where their careers are ending, but on cable TV. There's speculation they could be up for a gig.
The telegenic couple has been on CNN's Starting Point three of the last four Mondays and today were on Daily Rundown, offering different takes on the fiscal cliff.
"I don't think that there is something that Speaker Boehner would bring to me that would be enticing enough to vote for a tax increase," Mack told Chuck Todd. "I have never voted for a tax increase. I don't think that is the right way to go."
The congresswoman, however, said political winds are against the GOP and that some higher taxes may be palatable if paired with spending cuts. "Our negotiating power is somewhat limited. There is a reality. We don't want to go over this cliff. I think it's very important for the American people."
