US Chamber pumps in $250k to help Jeff Brandes in Fla sen race
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is gunning for Republican state Senate candidate Jim Frishe. The conservative group recently gave $250,000 to the Accountability in Goverment political committee that has been flooding Tampa Bay households with mailers attacking Frishe and/or hailing his Republican rival, Jeff Brandes.
The latest campaign finance reports show AIG raised $525,000, including $140,000 from state Sen. Joe Negron's political committee, the Alliance for a Stronger Economy. Frishe supports state Sen. Jack Latvala for senate president in four years, over Negron. Brandes is not supporting his fellow Pinellas Republican for the senate leadership, claiming he's neutral.
