U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis to visit Guantanamo Bay
U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Palm Harbor, is headed this week to Guantanamo Bay as part of a congressional visit to examine the detention facilities and security management.
Bilirakis is a member of the Homeland Security Oversight Subcommittee and has opposed closing Gitmo, as the president wants to do.
