U.S. Senate rejects health care repeal. Marco Rubio in favor of repeal, Bill Nelson against
Senate Republicans have come up short in their effort to repeal the health care law. A measure just failed to gain the 60 required votes, as expected because Democrats control the chamber. The vote was 47-51.
Florida lawmakers split, with Republican Marco Rubio in favor of repeal and Democrat Bill Nelson against. Nelson earlier said he thinks some provisions can be changed, but not the whole thing. One change adopted was doing away with a new IRS reporting requirement for businesses.
