Video: Scott tosses first pitch at Rays opener
Gov. Rick Scott tossed the first pitch during the Rays-Orioles game in St. Petersburg on Friday.
According to Rays beat writer Marc Topkin, Scott was booed by most of the crowd. And there were organized protests outside Tropicana Field.
That shouldn't be too surprising: While Scott has pretty poor poll numbers right now, rare is the politician who can go before a crowd of sports fan and avoid the boo birds.
Perhaps more important, Scott got the ball over the plate in a decent throw, just as he did before a Yankees spring training game last month.
