stuart.pngMarielena Stuart, the little known Republican U.S. Senate candidate who recently won a Pinellas GOP straw poll, issued the following statement today:

Marielena Stuart is on her final stretch to victory, as the next U.S. Senator from Florida.

Marielena's landslide win (54%) during last week's official U.S. Senate poll conducted by the Supervisor of Elections at the PInellas Republican Party Executive Committee's U.S. Senate Forum, was a watershed moment for her campaign-- and a moment of reckoning for the Republican Party.
During the aforementioned official U.S. Senate poll, George Lemieux (who was present at the forum) only received 34%-- and Connie Mack (who refuses to show up at debates or forums) only received 6% of the vote.

Last night's overwhelmingly supportive and enthusiastic reception after Marielena Stuart's  speech at the Hillsborough Republican Party Executive Committee-- further reflects the power of her candidacy for the U.S. Senate, as a conservative Republican.

Today, George Lemieux announced that he has dropped out of the race.  This was the right decision from Lemieux's campaign-- given the importance of last week's official U.S. Senate poll-- where conservative Republicans spoke loud and clear that they stand behind Marielena Stuart, as the next U.S. Senator to best represent Floridians in Washington DC.

This is the final stretch-- and things have unfolded in the exact manner that conservatives expected from the beginning, based on Marielena Stuart's background and her exceptional and admirable work as a grassroots conservative Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate.
It is critical that Republicans unite behind the powerful message and positive solutions that Marielena Stuart will deliver on the floor of the U.S. Senate-- on behalf of all Floridians.
